Ruth Wuwong: Brave Author

By April 19, 2024One Comment

Today it’s my privilege to feature Ruth Wuwong. She’s a fellow member of Brave Authors, a Facebook collaboration of Christian writers.

Although she grew up in Hong Kong and Taiwan, her family members live in different parts of the world, a common phenomenon for most Chinese her age because of political conflicts.

Ruth works for a small biotech company and has published 120+ scientific books and papers (under her legal name).

While she is relatively new to the realm of creative writing, Ruth has already completed several books under the pen name R. F. Whong.

She currently lives in the Midwest with her husband, a retired pastor. They served together at three churches from 1987 to 2020. Their grown son works in a nearby city.

Two wounded souls find love again in the holy land . . .

Lily Young, betrayed and abandoned at sixteen, is wary of love. Josh Ying has his own share of life’s adversities. He grew up in Hong Kong with a sick older brother and was the invisible child until he made a bold demand that led to a dire consequence.

Constant interactions at Ohio State University bring two desolate souls together. Yet personal hardship and circumstances beyond their control scatter them in different directions.

Reunited years later at the Garden Tomb in Israel, will they jeopardize their hearts again under the spell of the Jerusalem Syndrome?
