Today’s newsletter is about Jann Franklin, a small-town mystery writer.
Jann lives in Grand Cane, Louisiana, population 298. Many of her ideas come from weekly interactions with her fellow villagers. Like her protagonists, she never appreciated her small-town upbringing until her husband John forced her to live in one. Now she can’t imagine living any other way. She and Joh enjoy Sundays at Grand Cane Baptist Church, dinner with family and friends, and watching the lightning bugs in their backyard with their dogs. Their kids come to visit when they aren’t too busy living their big city lives.
Jann has recently produced a box set of her first three novels, which you can purchase by clicking here.
